This 200-page devotional “Ten Minutes in the Word: John” is part of a larger series of studies which seeks to provide readers with a short reading that can be done in ten minutes. The book of John has been likened to a pool shallow enough that children can wade in and deep enough that an elephant can swim in. This little book is somewhere in the middle. Not a deep theological study, but a meaningful devotional for both literal meaning and some application.
There is a small selection of scripture at the beginning of each reading followed by a suggested text from the book of John. The body of the reading is about a page and a half ending with a short prayer and questions for reflection and action. The notes in the back of the book will appeal to those in the Reformed camp as trustworthy teachers R. C. Sproul, John MacArthur, and D. A. Carson are the most cited.
I’d recommend this for anyone looking for a good devotional on the fourth gospel.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my fair and honest review.

Love these devotionals! I just finished the Proverbs one and really enjoyed it. I have this and it’s next up on my list!
